OUR MISSION
The Village Food Bank CIC is dedicated to providing food, toiletries, and essential items to low-income LGBTQ+ people and their dependents across the Brighton and Hove area.
TVFB began in 2024 with the aim of addressing poverty in our local community. LGBTQ+ people are significantly more likely to need support from food banks, yet often face additional barriers when accessing existing services. Our founder, Reuben, recognised this gap and established The Village Food Bank to offer a space that is both accessible and affirming.
We currently run two sessions each month, supporting between 35 and 55 households per session.

Want to use the service?
All you need to do is fill out our Google form. The form collects information like how many people are in your household, dietary needs, access needs, your confidence in accessing other food banks and other things like that. It is a bit long, but the information gathered is essential and super helpful. Unless your details or situation changes, you only need to do the form once!
Once it is filled out, you're welcome to join a session.
